Sometimes when your child is struggling with math it may be termed “number dyslexia”, but is that a real thing? It’s true that dyslexia may also cause some challenges in math, the term dyslexia refers to language not numbers.
What your child may be experiencing is called “dyscalculia”. Dyscalculia involves challenges with “number sense” which we featured in one of our blog posts. With number sense, your child may be challenged with simple math concepts.
